AP Lit Survey

Hey, guys. I'm doing the AP classes page for yearbook and I need quotes from students taking AP classes. To make things nice and easy, I thought it'd be cool to post it on the blog, plus I thought it might give everyone a quick break from homework.

Just fill out whichever questions strike your fancy and post them back as comments to this post.

If you are in more than one AP class, PLEASE fill out more than one survey to post! I would really appreciate it. Though I'm sure the caustic witty comments in this class could fill up an entire spread, I would love some other perspectives as well.

Thank you guys so much! This really helps me out.

1. Black and white. They are too colors!
2. They were these amazing white shoes with embroidered flowers on the outside, and whenever I stepped down, the heels would light up. The inside had this intensely hardcore pattern that would look better on the outside so I could show off to my buddies, but for some reason the shoe company placed it on the inside, so I would just take them off to show my palios those cool designs.
3. Wouldn't you like to know
4. TEA yeehaw
5. Zebra. Or maybe a polar bear. Or maybe a brown hawaiiain striped chipmunk.
6. Breathing underwater, then I won't ever be afraid of drowning.
7. Sound and Sense
8. How it has smartness written all over it
9. Challenge myself
10. Tests, definitely the tests. mmmmhmmmmm
11. The people.
12. - Mr. Duncan leaning on the desks, and chairs
- Mr Duncan making fun of Hayden and his mishaps on words
- Scott's movie references
- Matt and Michael's silly bickering on the blog
- Chelsea's stomach growling
- Hungary/Romania mistake

Hm... Does this mean that you'd like different a set of answers for every AP class we're taking?

If so, when do you need the responses by? (Hopefully not tomorrow.)

1. What is your favorite color?

Blue

2. Favorite pair of shoes?

My blue ones. They are nice.

3. What do you eat for breakfast every morning?

Cereal and some milk if I feel risky.

4. Coffee or tea?

Rosehip or mint tea.

5. Pet zebra or dolphin?

Zebra.

6. Breathing underwater or flying?

Taking into consideration the various ailments which would affect the body in the proposed environment of the underwater breathing scenario, and the fact that a dynamic percentage of gases would be required to populate the bloodstream under stated condition, and said skill of respiration would most likely not be flexible enough to procure such abilities, I would have to choose flying.

7. What has been your favorite book this year?

Great Expectations. It lived up to its title.

8. Why do you like this class?

It is about literature, and it is taught in an interesting manner.

9. Why did you choose to take an AP class?

'Cause I'm hardcore like that.

10. What is your favorite part of the AP experience?

As odd as it sounds, the AP exam at the end of the year. I love the feeling of having a big test with my friends, and especially the feeling I get when I'm done with it.

11. How do AP classes differ from other classes you've taken on the same subject matter?

They handle a lot more information, but still not so much that you're overwhelmed.

12. What are some interesting/funny things that have happened in this class?

Thanh called me Hungarian. It was neither interesting nor funny.

13. Any other random comments? Anything else I should know?

I rate Mr. Duncan as the best teacher I have had at this school.

Class:

1. What is your favorite color?

I really don't know yet
2. Favorite pair of shoes?
My running shoes

3. What do you eat for breakfast every morning?

Cheerios. 365 Bowls a year
4. Coffee or tea?

I don't know why someone would ever ask this.

6. Breathing underwater or flying?
Flying would save more money. And open up more possibilities to make money.

7. What has been your favorite book this year?

Brave New World. My comprehension of the book came in two phases. First, I questioned my surroundings more. Then, I learned to take it all in stride.
8. Why do you like this class?
It's engaging and fun.

It was the next class in the sequence.

Thank you so much, to those who have filled out a survey!

David: I just need, like, the last four to differ for each class. Things like your favorite color (hopefully) doesn't change from class to class. =]

We are sending out the book this Friday, so I need surveys by Thursday night so I can place them on the page.

Again, thanks guys! I knew you'd all have fun quotes. <3

I do need some more quotes, guys, if you haven't filled out the survey yet. Pretty please?

Hopefully there's no text limit for these answers and there's no way am I going to do a single survey for all my AP classes. How about we combine all my AP courses and call it: AP psyechemonlitics (for psychology, chemistry, economics, literature, statistics)? :D

1. What is your favorite color?

White! Umm not related to 'white power' or anything though. I like the color white because its signifies purity and cleanliness.

2. Favorite pair of shoes?

Any ones that get me quickly and efficiently to my destination. Thus, flipflops (except when my destination entails walking half a step in the sand and relaxing), high-heels (there is no exception; I am never going to wear these killer shoes) and boots (except for hiking, which do provide better support for these conditions) would not be considered my favorite pair of shoes.

3. What do you eat for breakfast every morning?

Every morning I eat different foods. Some mornings I feel like devouring Frosted Mini-Wheats, other days I want to chow down on Honey Bunches of Oat, and then some days I am hungry enough to cook up sausage, eggs, hashbrowns and toast. Each meal however is consistent in that I always drink milk.
When I was younger, I always enjoyed munching to the taste of Capt'n Peanut Butter Crunch (mmhm very healthy for the teeth ;).

4. Coffee or Tea?

"Tea" (Tanasescu); he's the coolest. I've never had the teacher named Coffee.

5. Pet zebra or dolphin?

Uh how about I don't want either?

6. Breathing underwater or flying?

I'll just make this one short and copy what Michael said.

7. What has been your favorite book this year?

Hamlet... but... then again, I can't make up my mind... haha okay that was a weak imitation of our dear beloved Hamlet =P

8. Why do you like this class (by 'class' we mean psyechemonlitics, which embodies multiple classes)?

Why don't you tell me since you explicitly stated that I like this class in the question.

9. Why did you choose to take an AP class?

I don't really feel like answering this question.

10. What is your favorite part of the AP experience?

Definitely not what Michael said.

11. How do AP classes differ from other classes you've taken on the same subject matter?

The answer to this question is: 42

12. What are some interesting/funny things that have happened in this class?

We can't forget when Thanh thought that Michael was Hungarian: "oo before I write my comment on the reading, I was wondering, Michael, if you are willing to let Diversity Club borrow your Hungarian clothing, I was wondering if you could bring them in by this week or next week. Thank you :]". Now our lit class experience is complete!! xD

13. Any other random comments? Anything else I should know?

These were random comments? I thought we were answering a survey.
But to end on a serious note, I want to thank all the teachers I've had for being so great! Thank you, teachers!! :))

... I forgot to do this since I lost all my RSS feeds and thus haven't been reminded of the blog since the 18th.

Many apologies, Kenzie.
